Japan! what can i say, it has always been a place that i wanted to visit and finally this year 3 friends and myself have turned that dream into reality.
The goal was to come to japan and snowboard that deep white dry powder that japan is famous for and it did not disapoint. With the best snow conditions japan has had in over 10 years the snowboarding here in hakuba has been EPIC! We were fortunate enough to be able to take a back country tour on a sunny day right after a few days of heavy snowfall, with Hakuba Alpine Guides. Highly recommended if you want to make the most of off peist snowboarding with experienced guides.
Our stay here in hakuba has been made even more enjoyable thanks to Markus and his wife at B&B Koyuki, a bed and breakfast that really has that feel of a home away from home. All i can say is that next time i come to hakuba and i will be back, B&B koyuki is the only place to stay.
