Guest Blog by Kiet Truong about his Hakuba trip.

This was my first time in Hakuba and Japan for that matter. So I was a little paranoid about booking accommodation from half way around the world. When I saw the rooms in person, I was definitely pleasantly surprised that they look as good as they do in the pictures.

If your sick of ski lodges, B&B Koyuki is the place to get a traditional japanese experience mixed with a little Swiss flavour.

Marcus and his family definitely gave the place a friendly and homely feel and made the experience enjoyable. Plus they have a really good knowledge of the local area so provide really helpful recommendations like where to shop, eat and most importantly when and where to catch to bus to one of the local resorts.

Conveniently located 5 mins walk from buses to the major resorts, Hakuba 47 / Goryu and Happo One. It is also within easy reach of the main Echoland area and most of the tour pickup spots. Ask nicely and Marcus may even drop you off. Hands down some of the cheapest and most affordable accommodation in Hakuba catered to english speaking guests.

To top it off, after a long day's ride on the snow, all your aches and pains just ooze away with a good long soak in the traditional Japanese Bath or one of the local onsens.

Will definitely return to B&B Koyuki next time I visit Hakuba
